Privacy

Trama sends no personal data to its developer. It has no accounts of its own, ads, analytics or tracking tools. You can play offline; optional sync uses your Apple or Google account.
Who we are
Trama is an app for iPhone, iPad and Android developed and published by Gian Luca Ziosi, the data controller for what this page describes. For any privacy question, write to [email protected].
What stays on your device
To work, Trama saves on your device:
- your progress in the levels and the daily weaves;
- the Collection of completed weaves;
- your preferences, such as theme, sounds, haptics and thread markings;
- whether Trama Complete is active.
We can’t see any of it. It may be included in your device backups, in iCloud or on your computer, which you manage with Apple.
Progress in iCloud
If iCloud is on for Trama, a copy of your progress and Collection is also saved in your iCloud, so you find them on your other devices with the same Apple Account and after reinstalling. Preferences and the Trama Complete status aren’t copied.
This copy lives in your iCloud account and is managed by Apple; we can’t see it or receive it. You can turn it off in Settings › your name › iCloud. Deleting the app deletes the data on the device; the iCloud copy stays until you manage it from your iCloud settings.
Progress in Google Drive (Android)
If you turn on Sync with Google in Preferences, Trama asks for permission to read and write only the data in its own private folder in Google Drive. A copy of your progress and Collection is kept in your Google account, so you find it on your other Android devices and after reinstalling. Trama doesn’t access your other files. Preferences and purchases stay separate.
Google manages this copy under its own privacy policy; the developer doesn’t receive it and can’t look at it. You can turn sync off in Preferences and revoke access in your Google account settings. Turning it off doesn’t delete copies already saved: app data can be deleted from your Google Drive settings.
Purchases
Trama Complete is bought from the App Store on iOS and from Google Play on Android. Apple and Google handle the payment: we don’t receive your payment details or your account details. The app checks with the store whether the purchase is active, to unlock the content. The data handled by the stores is covered by the privacy policies of Apple and Google.
Photos and sharing
If you choose to save a weave as an image, the system asks for permission to add photos to your library. With this permission Trama can only add the image: it can’t see your photos. If you share an image, you choose the app and the recipient from the system share sheet.
Apple statistics
Apple gives us aggregated download and sales data, which doesn’t identify anyone. If you chose in your device settings to share analytics with developers, Apple may also show us anonymous data about app usage and crashes. It’s your choice, and you can change it in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
If you write to us
If you email us, we use your address and the content of your message only to reply to you. The address [email protected] is a forwarding service run by Cloudflare, which delivers the message to the mailbox we use without storing it. We don’t add them to any list or share them with anyone. We keep the conversation only as long as needed to resolve your request, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
This website
This website uses no cookies or analytics and loads no third-party resources, such as fonts or scripts. It’s hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data, such as your IP address, to run and protect the service, under its own privacy policy. When you open a page without a language in its address, the site reads your browser’s language preference only to choose between English and Italian; nothing is stored.
Children
Trama is suitable for all ages. Since it collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Your rights
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Since we keep no data about you, in practice this only concerns the emails you’ve sent us: to exercise a right, write to [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with an updated date. If Trama ever started collecting data, we would say so first, in the app and on this page.
